Julie Moriarty - Founder
Julie brings over 15 years of experience in the accounting industry, with a passion for helping service and trades-based businesses take control of their finances. Whether it's a local contractor, plumber, consultant or real estate agent, Julie specializes in simplifying bookkeeping and payroll so her clients can focus on what they do best. She is a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, Gusto Payroll Certified and QuickBooks Payroll specialist.
In 2022, Julie founded Compass Rose Accounting - a name inspired by her love of the ocean, shaped by her upbringing in New England and time living on Cape. Now based in Chicago's Jefferson Park neighborhood, she runs her business with the same sense of direction and clarity that the compass rose symbolizes.
Julie lives with her husband, their three children, two cats and giant, lovable mastiff. When she's not supporting clients or refining workflows, she enjoys reading, working in the yard and cheering on the Chicago Fire.
